My console doesn't see the LAN world. Open Not showing up? on the Connect screen while a session is running. It checks the four things that actually cause this — your phone's Wi-Fi and subnet, the address you typed, whether the target server answers, and whether any console has pinged yet — and names the one to fix.
The usual causes, in order: the console is on a different Wi-Fi network (or on Ethernet on a different subnet); the phone is on a VPN; the router has client isolation / "AP isolation" turned on; or the console simply hasn't opened Play → Friends yet.
It says the server isn't answering, but I can join it on my phone. If you are on the same network the server runs on, its public address often can't be reached from inside. Warpling offers you the local address when it spots the server on your Wi-Fi — take it.
Nintendo Switch. Switch does not join servers this way. Warpling says so on the first screen; it is not a bug and there is no setting that changes it.
The game moved me, then kicked me out. The server is on a different Minecraft version from the one your console runs. Open Advertised version on the Connect screen and set the version the server reports.
Known limits
- One console at a time per session.
- The phone must stay on the same Wi-Fi until the console has been handed over; after that you can put it away.
Privacy
Warpling itself keeps nothing about you. The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, which does collect some data; Warpling Pro turns the ads off. Full policy: warpling.bytehavenstudios.com/privacy.
